Amazon, UPS and Wells Fargo Create Thousands of Jobs in Philadelphia Area

This Wednesday is the big day of the career.

Job openings are on the rise in Philadelphia as some of the largest companies create thousands of jobs in the area.

The Wells Fargo Center is even hosting a career fair, open to the public, today – Wednesday, September 15 – from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET.

Wells Fargo isn’t the only company hosting a Career Day in September. 15. Amazon on Tuesday announced plans to hire 125,000 people in cities across the United States. Pennslyvania is on the list, as part of her Virtual Career Day.

WPVI-TV reports 4,800 Amazon jobs will be available in the Philly area. The company is looking for employees in transportation, sorting and order processing services. Salaries will range from $ 18 to $ 22.50 an hour in some locations.

Amazon isn’t the only company in the delivery services industry to hire. UPS also plans to hire 7,000 employees for this holiday season in the region. This includes full-time and part-time jobs, especially drivers and material handlers.
