ASG invites students on a scavenger hunt on campus resources this week
There are many resources on campus that help students achieve success during their years at the University of Arkansas. But where are they? Many students find it difficult to locate many of these offices. To help solve this problem, Associated Student Government has partnered with five offices to create a scavenger hunt around the campus from September 13-17.
The Campus Maps Office located on the fourth floor of the Union can help students with their ID card in case of loss or damage. They will also be able to inform students about different places around Fayetteville where students can benefit from a reduction on presentation of their student card. The Career Development Center is the best place to go for students to get help with their resume, interview skills, or career information. This office is located at 6e Union floor. The Full circle pantry is available to anyone with a U of A ID. Food insecurity occurs on this campus, especially when mess halls close during vacations. This resource will help students move away from thinking about where their next meal is coming from and focus on their studies. Student success, where students go for tutoring or writing assistance, is properly in the Mullins Library on the second floor (entry level). Ultimately, UREC, located on the second floor of the HPER at the service center, is important in helping students work on their physical health.
This year it is even more crucial that students can locate these offices. We have a large freshman class, and many sophomores weren’t living on campus last year due to online classes. Therefore, there are two groups of students who do not know where all the resources the campus has to offer are.
To participate in this event, go to one of the offices listed above and obtain a student resource card. Once you have visited the various offices on campus, the card can be returned in front of the ASG office located at Arkansas Union A669 (above the computer lab). All students who hand in the student resource card will be entered into a random draw.
This event is sponsored by Associated Student Government through the Office of Student Activities and is supported by Student Activities Fees.
