How a relay race raises awareness for mental health

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) — When it comes to our health, it’s important that we prioritize mental and physical health.

That’s why Regymen Fitness Studios is partnering with the North Alabama Crisis Service for their first ever “Together” Charity 10K Relay Race to raise mental health awareness. The event will take place on Sunday, May 15 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Big Spring Park in Huntsville.

In a relay race, you have to lean on each other to get to the finish line. We all know that life brings many challenges, and more often than not, we need to remember to lean on each other and fight together.

Teams of up to 4 people will run around the park doing a 10 km. However, if you don’t have 4, just bring along, solo runners/walkers are also welcome! Each teammate will run around the 1.50 mile course and pass their baton to their teammate at the designated spot. Wholeeveryone will raise more funds and awareness for people suffering from mental health crisis in and around the community.

There will also be a selection of food trucks to fill up and hang out!
