The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, announced on Thursday that Peru and Brazil will promote education and health services in the border area in order to improve the quality of life of citizens of both countries and expand the presence of the state to the greatest number. remote areas of the national territory.

The Head of State pointed out that the two countries will work together on various issues, such as highways and various services that should be provided along the nearly 3,000 kilometer long border line.

In this regard, he stressed the need to get closer to cities with communication channels and to promote medical services with personnel from both countries, as well as cultural exchange.

“In the case of education, we intend to prepare a teaching program on both sides of the country,” he said.

In addition, President Castillo stressed that the government must ensure the development of border areas.

This is why various agreements have been signed today with Brazil. Therefore, Ministers of Health, Education, Defense and Foreign Affairs will be in constant communication to develop a common agenda and work to make the agreements a reality.
